Have you ever printed with a bus? Neither have we! But this is exactly what we are going to do – use Tartu’s city bus as printing press to create a linocut print that’s almost 6 meters long.
We will be doing this on the 28th of August at 14.00, at Uueturu park corner (Küüni street)!
The linocut depicts motifs of our beloved river Emajõgi. The design was done by an intern from Finland – Jenni Sundqvist, and our own TYPA people Heldin, Kirke and Kärt. But it was cut out from linoleum by many of our visitors in an open workshop so what you see is a true collective creation. And now we are attempting to put it “on paper” so you all can see it. So let’s go big (and not home)!
Special thanks to AS GoBus who is giving one of those beautiful red city buses (with a driver) to our disposal!
