PRESSFEST: Manhole Cover Printing

Manhole covers are an everyday sight of our cityscapes, which also makes them a mundane and forgettable part of our lives. However, if you ever look at them up close, you will find a myriad of interesting patterns, decorations and images, which are by default ideal for printing! 

On the 28th of August we invite you to the first event of PRESSFEST – to the Tartu town hall square (Raekoja plats) from 12.00-14.00 – to try out manhole cover printing!

Take your own shirt, a bag, a table cloth or any other fabric that needs a bit of a make-over, and come to Town Hall Square, we will give the rest of the instructions. We will be using acrylic ink, which is waterproof and attaches to the fabric fibres after drying so the clothes will be machine washable. 

Participation is free, but if you want to purchase a shirt of bag from us, the prices are 5€ for the bag and 10€ for the t-shirt.
