Scrap Night vol. 2 — Papermaking
Our third event will take place on Tuesday, 22nd of April at 5:30 PM! This edition’s theme is paper making.
Believe it or not, there are paper scraps too small to use them in a collage. And after two previous events, we definitely have lots! Luckily, those can be creatively recycled too. This time we will guide you through the process of paper making — from soaking the scraps, through blending them into a pulp, to drying newly made sheets of paper. You will also be able to decorate them however you wish, using leftover pieces of yarn, paper and plants, to mix the colors, and to decide on the thickness and shape. This Scrap Night’s edition might be a little bit more structured, but it will for sure keep its chill and experimental vibe.
The events are our voluntary project, carried out by TYPA’s ESC volunteer Asia and education manager Karoliina. The aim of this is to reduce the leftover scrap waste we have at TYPA.
Due to the rising prices of snacks there will be a symbolic fee of 1 euro so everybody could have a sweet treat to keep up the mood 🙂
NB! As always, no registration is required and there will be enough materials for everybody, HOWEVER it might happen that you’ll need to spend some time waiting in line to make your own sheet of paper! We will set up a table with zine/collage materials as well, to make sure nobody is bored, but we’ll appreciate your patience and cooperation in moving between different creative stations during the event. Thank you! <3
The first rule of Scrap Club is to have fun and be yourself 🌟
