Heritage Days: Curators tour and Lecture, “Constellations in Metal”

Europe celebrates European Heritage Day’s on the 11.-13th September. To celebrate this, we invite you to TYPA on the 13th of September to take part of a unique curators tour and lecture which introduces the heritage of Estonian metal types during first Independence period.

Type casting and related knowledge are a disappearing art, which has regardless paved the road for our everyday print solutions and the power of printed word. On the 28th of August we opened a new exhibition at TYPA gallery titled “Constellations in Metal, which looks into the production and usage of metal types in Estonia and other Baltic countries during the interwar period.

Programme on 13.09:
At 11.00: Curators tour at exhibition “Constellations in Metal” in Estonian. Conducted by Danila Rygovskiy.
At 12.00: Lecture by Ivar Sakk, “Trükikiri Eestis 1918-1940. aastatel: trükikojad, trükitüübid, kirjavalamisvabrikud” (In Estonian).
At 13.00: Curators tour at exhibition “Constellations in Metal” in English. Conducted by Danila Rygovskiy.
