Curiosity Day: A Tour of the Type Collection and a Sorting Session

TYPA’s special Curiosity Day tour is dedicated to the type collection. On the 15th November at 11AM we will show types made of various metals, wood and plastic, and talk about how they are used and preserved.

The highlight of the tour is a demo of the new database! This electronic encyclopedia helps make TYPA’s type collection accessible to everyone and brings together a wide range of knowledge about the history of printing in Estonia. We will browse the database and try photographing the type pieces.

After the tour, visitors can also join a volunteer sorting session for the type collection.
