Reduction Linocut workshop with Vitor Pascale
In this 3 day workshop participants will learn how to create a multicoloured linocut using the reduction method. The method uses the same lino block to carve and print multiple layers of colours. During the course each participant will create a three-coloured linocut piece. Participants will learn and go through all the steps needed for reduction linocut, from thinking how the technique works, carving and printing all three layers, preparing the ink and press and the registration and printing. *The course is conducted in English.

Vitor Pascale is a master’s student at the Estonian Academy of Arts, whose studies focus on printing and mixed media. Two years ago, Vitor was an artist in residency at TYPA for three months, and during that time he also conducted various workshops. Vitor has worked as a teacher in Brazil and supervised several printmaking courses in his studio. Now living in Estonia for a longer time, he wants to share his enthusiasm, discoveries and experience in printmaking with others.
