Scrap Night vol. 23: Paper Dolls
Thank you for participating in the flower-themed scrap night, TYPA has truly transformed into a garden in full bloom for that evening!
Our next event is quite a special one: it’s happening on the 2nd of June, at 5:30 PM, so right after Children’s Day! In alignment with the date, we will all – regardless of age – have the chance to make some paper toys, specifically: paper dress-up dolls.
Dressing up is a beloved form of play and creative expression for lots of kids and adults alike. Some of us might associate it with early computer games, but for Scrap Night we are coming back to the roots: we will make ready-to-play sets of dolls and clothes from thick paper and colorful scraps glued onto it. As per usual, a few templates will be prepared, but they should be treated as suggestions at best. We encourage you to experiment with patterns, colours and textures, to explore what items could you make, to give your dolls unique characters. And maybe we can do a little clothes swap too?
The events are our voluntary project, started by TYPA’s previous ESC volunteer Asia and education manager Karoliina. The aim of this is to reduce the leftover scrap waste we have at TYPA.
Due to the rising prices of snacks there will be a symbolic fee of 1 euro so everybody could have a sweet treat to keep up the mood.
No registration is required.
The first rule of Scrap Club is to have fun and be yourself <3
