Artist talk and binding workshop with Gillian Stewart

This summer, we had the pleasure of working with Gillian Stewart. She is an award-winning bookbinder from Scotland as well as the owner of a bookbinding studio called Juju Books! She is part of our residency program, and has spent the past two months with us working on her artist book.

She is now inviting you to join her on her artist talk on the 11th of September, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

She will speak about her work practices and book project at TYPA, followed by a brief demo of Drum Leaf binding a sewing-free binding method which allows the binder to create double-sided pages that open flat whilst only using single sided prints. A great option for printmakers!

Participation is completely free, however we kindly ask you to register to we could ensure that everybody has enough materials!
