Screen Printing Short Course

21. 22.09 (2 x 8h)

Conducted by: Arthur Pakkas ja Kuues Planeet

Siiditrüki e. serigraafia töötuba on kahepäevane aktiivõpe, mille käigus iga osaleja valmistab endale isikliku trükiekraani ja trükib sellega endale ühe riidest eseme. Lisaks õpime teoorias nii kujunduste ettevalmistamise kohta kui üldiselt selle tehnika võimalustest ja piirangutest. Tegemist on pigem praktilise koolitusega. Koolitus ei vaja erialast eelnevaid teadmisi või erilisi isikuomadusi.

Screen printing e. the serigraphy workshop is two days of active learning, during which each participant prepares a personal printing screen and prints one cloth item. In addition, we learn about the preparation of designs in theory, as well as the possibilities and limitations of this technique in general. It is a rather practical training. The training does not require prior professional knowledge or special personal characteristics.

Kuues Planeet is an environmentally friendly printing studio, whose technique is silk-screen printing and only silk-screen printing. In their work, they use the purest and most environmentally friendly printing inks and do it in a studio that is free of toxins and harmful chemicals.

Layered Drypoint

9.11 (4h)

Conducted by: Marilyn Piirsalu

Drypoint is a playful intaglio printing technique, in which the image is scratched onto the printing plate using different blades. It is also easy to print the printed circuit board in layers. A metal or plastic plate with a special shape is covered with paint in such a way that the excess paint is wiped off the plate after the scratched grooves are filled. By swiping the plate, you can play with different colors and shades, which gives the line additional emotion and depth.

Price: 45€/*35€
*Discount applies to students up to age of 26, retired persons, persons with disability.

Marilyn Piirsalu graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in graphic arts and has been teaching graphic arts courses since 2010. Her favorite graphic technique is the well-established drypoint, which he also uses as an artist in his creations.
