Graciela Machado’s free workshop
“Autography, papyrography : paper after all”
The workshop aims to lay the foundation of knowledge within the printmaking medium for using both the first reproductive techniques based on paper transfer (lithography) up to papyrography and its move to identify local resources that may be used in each participant’s practice as a part of the image-making process. The workshop is also designed to introduce print archeology as a key strategy to think drawing and printmaking practices.
Participants will learn how to prepare papers and to convert a paper into a print surface or a matrix. This workshop is a starting point for growth and exploration on autographic printmaking and an introduction to printing in lithography in situ.
Where: TYPA centre
When: August 20 at 12-4PM
