Joonas Ahtikallio exhibition “Pimeä puutarha”
Pimeä puutarha is journey into the enigmatic relationship between humanity and nature. This captivating photography exhibition studies the connection we share with the nature, explored through innovative and experimental techniques like plant based film developers, Kirlian photography and lumen prints.
“In Pimeä puutarha, I delve into an exploration of connection that binds humanity with the natural world. Using an array of experimental techniques, from crafting film developers with plants to harnessing the ethereal essence of Kirlian photography and the poetic allure of lumen prints, I seek to unravel something what we do not perceive with our senses, but deep within we know of its existence.”
Joonas Ahtikallio, a photographer hailing from Finland, is an innovator who pushes the boundaries of traditional imagery. Through a fusion of experimental methods and diverse mediums, he forges a visual language that invites viewers on a journey into uncharted realms of perception. Captivated by the organic flow of intuitive processes and driven by an insatiable curiosity for the unexplored, Ahtikallio offers a unique and insightful perspective on the world.
Exhibition is opened from 22.09.2023 – 24.11.2023 in TYPA Gallery.
TYPA gallery is open Wed-Sun 12PM – 6PM.
Visiting the exhibition is free.
