Oleksandra Viazinko (UA) Artist Talk “Art and Nature: Towards the Poetics of Gardens”

Join us this Thursday at TYPA for Oleksandra Viazinko (UA) artist talk “Art and Nature: Towards the Poetics of Gardens”! The talk starts at 6pm and is FREE for all to attend.

We will speak about different types of gardens: how gardens are depicted in art, gardens in biosemiotic approach and what are the ways to always carry a garden in your pocket.

Oleksandra Viazinko is a visual artist born in 1991 in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. Viazinko studied literary criticism at National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and has been an editor at Kyiv Academic Pechersk Theatre.

In February and March 2024, Oleksandra has been an artist in LOORE residency at TYPA. During the residency she’s been working on a photobook based on her family history, themed around interconnection of people and nature.
