This Saturday, 23rd of Feburary 14:00-18:00, come to the Printing Museum (Kastani 38, Tartu) to learn more about drawing comics and letterpress printing!
In this two-part workshop with artist-in-residence Laura Ķeniņš (LV/CA), participants will create a short 8-page mini comic book with covers printed on letterpress in the Printing Museum. We will talk about and look at small-format comics and zines, comic vending machines, design and storytelling for short comics and letterpress.
Day 1 will provide an introduction and start some printing; Day 2 will have more time for drawing and assembling books. The timing of the second workshop is negotiable, so if you’re not certain you can come both dates, come to the first workshop and we can see what time works best for everybody and the studio! For week one, bring your ideas; favourite drawing materials are optional.
