TYPA ResidencyArtist in residence

Tartu’s artist in residence, Tiina Herttua from Finland, opens her studio for you and shows her work-in-progess paintings.

As her residency aims to compare the visual difference between Finland and Estonia, Tiina drove on her bike through Tartu and collected the beautiful color combinations of Karlova’s painted buildings. Inspired by the many coats of paint on the walls of the wooden houses, she creates multilayered, abstract paintings out of the colors of one facade.

Come and see the colors of Tartu through Tiinas eyes on the 25th of April at 7pm in the studio of Eksperimentaaltootmine. There will be snacks and drinks to accompany the artwork!
