Tartu Artist in Residence Programme (TAIR) announces an open call for the period January – June 2015 to work for a one month period in the scenic city of Tartu, Estonia. We are expecting applications from artists of all creative disciplines and will be able to cover a part of the expenses for the artist. The deadline for applications is 30.09.14 and the results will be announced on 31.10.14.
TAIR is a unique AIR programme in that it is realized through the collaboration of various partner organizations who contribute different skills & resources, thereby making it possible to cater to different genres. Our main areas of competence are printmaking, theatre and visual arts. Based on the applications from artists we tailor each residency to meet the requirements of the given project.
In addition to giving you the time to work and develop your skills, we also expect the residency to have a public outcome. This can for example take the form of an exhibition, workshop or artists talk, so have this in mind when preparing your application. We will of course help you in setting this up.
Conditions and priorities
– financial aspect
We can cover either the accomodation or production (studio, materials) fees. Unfortunately, we cannot cover neither travelling costs nor daily living expenses.
