How long till something becomes a tradition? The linocut competition takes place for the third year running and starts to feel like a tradition already. The artists who have participated in the competition thus far are certainly familiar with the details but we will refresh your memory on the instructions:

• Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or experience
• Please bring or mail your linocut and print
• Printed linocut size can be up to A4
• Don’t forget to add your title and contact info (name, age, phone number, e-mail address)
• Up to three linocuts per participant
• Works can be submitted until April 30
• The museum reserves the right to use the linocut, for example as covers for designer notebooks

An exhibition with all submitted works is opened in the Printing Museum Gallery on May 18. As per tradition the best works will be selected in three categories:

1. Public favorite (voting in Facebook)
2. Museum’s favorite
3. Artists’ favorite (the jury consists of Toomas Kuusing, Cristo Madissoo and Bob Sparham)

Awards are provided by Raamikoda, Snitty OY and Tooltrade Baltic OÜ.
Tooltrade Baltic has a wide range of high-quality wood and linocut Swiss knives. Each winner of the contest receives a Tooltrade giftcard of 25 euros. All products are on their webpage: https://puidutera.ee/main_page.php?lng=et&g=2067

The exhibition is preceded by three linocut workshops:

• April 7, 13.00 – 16.00. Instructed by Toomas Kuusing
• April 14, 12.00 – 15.00. Instructed by Cristo Madissoo
• April 22, 14.00 – 17.00. Instructed by Hannah Harkes
