Last week we welcomed our new resident from Canada, Laura Ķeniņš. During her one month residency, Laura will use the Printing Museum and the Screen Printing Studio facilities to create an illustrated book with different printing techniques.
Laura is an artist and journalist living in Riga. Her practice includes comics, drawing, installation and printmaking. She has drawn and self-published comics, zines and letterpress books, frequently works with the Latvian comics magazine kuš!, and teaches comics to kids. She has regularly exhibited her comics work since 2006 (among others, at the White Night Comics of Vancouver, Toronto Comics Art Festival, The Last Match).
