The sculptor Jussi Valtakari and painter Eeva-Kaisa Jakkila are now in Tartu! They will be staying until January 2013 and study in Tartu Art School within the freemoover-programm. Their project aims at creating a documentary film about their time in this city. An art exhibition is also planned to exhibit their work in the gallery of Tampere Maja (opening on the 17th of February 2013).
Jussi studied in Lahti Art College as well as Tampere Art College, and has exhibited his work for more than 30 years (both solo and group exhibitions). Eeva-Kaisa studied in Limingan taidekoulu and in the Art Institute of Lahti. Her art has been exhibited for close to 30 years in solo and group exhibitions too, and she was awared the Province of Oulu visual arts prize in 1995.
