Seçkin Aydin, the first artist in residence of Tartu AiR, has opened his exhibition, ‘GlobaliFashion: Estonia’ in Antonius Guild. The work Seçkin produced during his month-long residency presents ideas about the effect
globalization is having on tradition cultures around the world, focusing on Estonian traditional costumes. Seçkin has previously worked on a similar project in the Czech Republic, and after leaving Estonia he will continue to work on the same themes in residencies in Turkey and Iraq. He also plans to return to Tartu in August. The exhibition runs until June 10th at Lutsu 3, and is open 12:00 – 20:00, Wednesday to Sunday.
