TYPA ResidencyArtist in residence

The Croatian artist Andrea Stanicic just arrived to Tartu for a one month residency in the Printing Museum, in the framework of the international project Password: Printmaking – travelling exhibition and art residencies.

Her project in Tartu, entitled Peep, deals with making 3D graphic – objects. The title of her work holds the idea in itself, that an object hides the visual content. This content can be seen only if we peep through the peeping hole, cut out in paper. This graphic objects are made out of three parts of paper, that can be bent , and taken easily to other place, so they are a portable graphic – object.

Andrea’s work have been exhibited in several countries over the past years, among which “Drawing connections“, Sienna Art Institute, Italy and „Create Europe Create your Hope“, Sorbonne, Paris, France, and „Connection out of town“,  Gelsenkirchen,  Germany. She is also working now on a children book about fairies, which is expected to be out this year.

This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.

The residency has been organized by the Foundation Tallinn Print Triennial.
