“Jalad all” design project exhibition at TYPA gallery
From 29.01 to 8.02 you have a chance to see familiar chair legs from previous centuries in a new fresh coating! The design solutions were created by the students of the Pallas University of Applied Sciences Textile and Furniture departments.
Six dignified chairs, 22 metal legs and 4 different solutions: Pallas University’s annual co-working project has brought together students from the third year Textile and Furniture departments, to find a new function for old, forgotten chairs. In their process the students explored how to turn old into new, while respecting the original design. Their goal was to work with zero budget, hence the usage of found, natural materials and production leftovers for their creations.
If you want to learn more about the limitations and discoveries of this process, you can attend the curators tour on the 5th of February at 17.00, at TYPA Gallery! NB! The tour is in Estonian!
