On the 2nd of October TAiR welcomed an artist from Finland. Matias Lehto who is born in Vantaa is a Finnish visual artist. His newest, game-themed works combine a medieval worldview with modern design. He studied painting at the Free Art School in Helsinki in 2002-2006, and has in addition to exhibiting paintings and drawings also published music. In Lehto’s upcoming show in Gallery Kone in Hämeenlinna (January 2018), the board game Lubok Air Force will be published. Matias Lehto has worked in artist residencies in Hungary, Austria and Russia. Alongside working he is studying the garment industry.
