In the beginning of 2023, TYPA participated in an ERASMUS+ project, working with Tipoteca in Italy, _Arteria_Lab and the municipality of Évora. Each organisation hosted one international workshop, exploring methods to include print, letterpress and typography in adult education. We explored a whole range of processes, including calligraphy, linotype casting, letterpress print, even digital tools such as lasercut and CNC. We invited our friends such to teach and attend workshops in Estonia 🇪🇪, Italy 🇮🇹 and Portugal. 🇵🇹
From these three workshops, each organisation held its own local workshop, or Print Lab, testing the ideas, lessons and processes with local participants. All these fed into a final lesson plan design which is found here. These materials will become part of our adult education program and are available for all to download with open licence.
