You will learn the methods of a completely unique technique in darkroom photography \u2013 created and refined by Joonas Ahtikallio.<\/p>\n\n<p>You can participate without completing the first class. No darkroom experience is needed, however a basic understanding of analogue photography would help, but the teacher can adjust to student\u2019s levels.<\/p>\n\n<p>Under his guidance you will create beautiful black and white photographs using historical processes, with an ecological twist \u2013 his sustainable developer \u2013 consisting of various photo-sensitive plants, vitamin C and soda. The concept of the course is to further understand the relationship between man and nature, and investigate the connection between art and nature. The \u200b\u200bcourse is suitable for photographers from different backgrounds, the basics of darkroom work is useful but not necessary.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the continuation class different exposure we will delve deeper in the plant developing. We work with the results from the first course and refine developers. In the course we will also work with the community garden\u2019s plants from the previous session.<\/p>\n\n<p>Ecological Darkroom Developing continuation course takes place:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>23. september 2023 kell 14:00 \u2013 18:00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>24. september 2023 kell 11:00 \u2013 15:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>From 22.09.2023 to 26.11.2023, Joonas Ahtikallio\u2019s photo exhibition \u201cPime aed\u201d (\u201cThe Dark Garden\u201d) will also available to view at TYPA gallery. The exhibition works are created using the same ecological method that Ahtikallio teaches as part of his TYPA experimental photography course.<\/p>\n\n<p>Hind: 80\u20ac \/ tudengitele 65\u20ac<\/p>\n\n<p><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\"><strong>\u00a0The course is conducted in English.<\/strong><\/div><\/p>\n\n<p>To register for the course, email us at typa@typa.ee, <strong>deadline 11th of September<\/strong>. The number of places is limited so make sure to reserve early.<\/p>\n\n<p>Instructor Joonas Ahtikallio is an analogue photographer from Finland. He is a board member of the Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 Creative Photography Center and teaches analogue and pinhole photography courses. He is currently developing a modern and sustainable plant-based method for developing images.
