Aleksandrs Grīns had written the novel about the birth and maturity of Latvian nation and country- how the independence idea is born, matures and comes true. At the same time the story carries a timeless and powerful anti-war message.
The event is organized in the framework of the celebrations of the 107th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia and supported by “Latvian Literature”, Latvian War Museum, Riigikogu (Estonia-Latvia Parliamentary Friendship Group), publishing house “Grenader”.
